I had my first job interview today in I don’t know how long.
I dazzled them (that’s right them, the BOARD of people that I had to interview with. A WHOLE BOARD!) with my charm, regaled them with stories from my working days, and we all laughed merrily together.
It was a blast.
Then they got to the part of the interview where they talk about vacation time. In their office, each new person is put on a probation period where you can’t use your accrued vacation time for a short period. I of course had to tell them about our planned vacation with the in-laws at the end of the month. Their response?
“Oh, it’s very unlikely that we’ll have this position filled by then.”
-massive fits of chuckling from all members of the board-
Well alright then. So, if I do get the job (they have to hire me, I’m a smart blonde, we are a rare breed) I won’t be receiving funds until some time in July apparently. Great.
I can’t be too upset though. Free day-trips to the beach are in store!
What is this job? I thought you were going to be working in Cecil County. Thats far from the beach.
in Cecil. I meant trips to the beach until then….. cuz I still won’t be working!
I hope you get it! I am pretty sure you did, I mean who can resist all that charm dazzling! ;)
You used the words “smart” and “blonde”. While I understand these words individually, when used together in the way you did they don’t make sense. :)
