things i love: fancy wrapping

I’m obsessed with wrapping paper. It’s like decor for a gift. Well, I guess it’s not like decor for a gift, it just is.

Anyway, I usually just stick with wrapping gifts in a normal, boring, predictable way. Snowman/Santa/Snowflakes/Stars/Striped wrapping paper, stick a tag on, and I’m done.

But oh how I admire those folks who wrap their presents all fancy.

Take a look at these creative Christmas concoctions:

{via Holly @ nothing but bonfires}

{via Martha Stewart}

{via Emily @ jones design company}

I’m quite inspired by these many ideas to break the norm and wrap my presents all pretty-like this year. Maybe I will, maybe I won’t, but it’s fun to look at everyone else’s hard work, no?

If you’re the fancy-wrapping type, go check out the gift tags that Emily @ jones design company has so graciously offered in the form of printable templates as an early Christmas Present. Ain’t she a gem?

    Those are super-fantastic! But don’t sell yourself short, I remember a couple of years when my gift from you was fancied up a little! ;)

    This has inspired me to at least try to be a creative present-wrapper this year… and you should be glad, since I was planning on your gift being given in the bag the store put it in! ;)
