becoming crafty: wreath making

I’ve gotta tell ya – prior to this year, I really didn’t think I had much creativity rolling around in this bod of mine, but you know what? I was wrong! I can’t begin to tell you how great it feels to know that I can be inspired by something someone else does, and then do it for myself. Maybe one day, I’ll be the one doing the inspiring.

I told you in my post last week about wreaths, that I made 2 of my own from Emily’s {jones design company} tutorials. {God bless that woman for making tutorials!} What I made:

The Ruffle Wreath

what she calls the Nonna Wreath because it’s her Nonna’s {grandmother} creation.

My friend Kaila was also diggin’ on the ruffle wreath, so we got together and had us a wreath makin’ party! I had already made the ruffle wreath the week before our get-together, so it’s not part of our photo shoot, but I did make the Nonna wreath that night.

I’m not going to share the tutorials with you, because that’s a whole lot like plagiarism. But I will show you pictures of our very hard, super-intense, almost un-fun work. I kid, I kid.

Pretty impressive, huh? The final products:

I think we did alright! Those little flowers on each of our wreaths are also a Jones Design Company creation. Aren’t you shocked? We thought they added nice little touches to already beautiful pieces.

How have you been getting your craft on? Share.
