Yesterday, in an attempt to exercise, I went walking with best friend and little sister. I had a great time in spite of the fact that we were, in fact, exercising. I think the key to the walking thing is picking a good location.
We went to our little local historic town and walked the trail by the park until it ended, turned around, and walked back.
We, of course, had the occasional scare:
“Ooh, look at this tree, is that Wisteria? SHHHHRREEEEEEKKKKK!!!!! That ant was HUGE, it had to have been like an inch!!!”
“That guy was creepy, he just stared and didn’t say anything.” “Yeah, and once he walked passed you he smiled, that’s why I said hi to him, let him know there will be none of that today.”
“Do you see those guys with the fishing poles? Is that a new rapist technique?!”
“OUCH! Something just poked through my flip-flop! That hurt!”
All in all, it was a good time, and now I can’t wait to do this all the time. You don’t even realize that you’re exercising!
The special end-cap of the day was about a quarter mile after we reached the end of the trail and turned around.
“Look at that guy! He’s really running hard, I mean sprinting! Who does that? It’s too much work!”
“It looks like Zach to me.”
“Yeah, it does!”
“Guys, it is Zach!”
My little brother found out that we had gone walking and came to walk the last mile and three quarters with us. It was so much fun! Probably, the funniest moment of the day came when we passed a group of kids that couldn’t have been more than twelve. Two of them had their arms all wrapped around each other and they were kissing. In. Public. At twelve. So, as we passed them Zach said: “That was the hottest thing I’ve ever seen, seriously, so hot.” I said/slightly yelled: “He won’t remember your name in two years.” They actually chuckled a bit, but apparently her friend took serious offense to it and started screaming quite profanely at us. It was kind of comical. Ok, very comical.
Who knew exercising could be so entertaining?

I had the best time yesterday! My back, leg, hips couldn’t get any sorer!
No pain no gain right?
I lost two pounds since yesterday! WooHoo!
I ran 8.38 miles on Wednesday. :) There were a bunch of people in golf carts in the park playing war games. I never get used to all the noises from that crap.
now that’s a completely different type of entertainment! I don’t do running though, so I’ll live vicariously through you ;) Great job!
