100 more things that you may or may not already know about me…..

1. I’m a Christian

2. I’m an emotionally passionate person, I can go from happy to sad pretty easily, but you’ll never have to wonder which one I’m feeling.

3. I’m 5′10″ and am convinced that I will have very large children since my husband is 6′5″.

4. Fall is one of my favorite seasons because of all of the festivities and the smell in the air. I am, however, unable to answer the question “What is your favorite season?” because I can think of just as many things that I love about the other 3.

5. I love the beach, playing in the sand, tanning, and the smell of the ocean. I hate what it does to my hair though.

6. I was born 6 days prior to Christmas, it is therefore my favorite holiday and the time of year that reduces my actions to those of children.

7. I really am dreaming of a white Christmas.

8. As much as I love watching the Lord of the Rings trilogy, I could barely make it halfway through reading The Hobbit, and therefore never made it through to the other books. (I must do things in order) Tolkein just doesn’t capture me with his writing. I’m sure he’s fabulous to you, though.

9. I do enjoy reading Nicholas Sparks’ novels and always find that I am [im]patiently waiting for him to put out another one because good grief, it doesn’t take me a year to read just one of his books, and I’ve already read every book he’s published, so get to writing already, geez. Ahem.

10. I alphabetize all of my DVDs and CDs. I believe that this is because I have some mild case of OCD. I think that because I also color-coordinate my shoes and have a special way of organizing my closet.

11. I love kids, If my husband would allow it, I would have 6. We’ll probably end up with 3 or 4.

12. I am the eldest of five children. This probably explains #11.

13. I am a registered Republican and vote according to my conservative lean. Yes, it is partially my “fault” that W was voted in the 2nd time (as I was too young to vote the first time he ran)

14. I have been to India. I am not adventurous, and it certainly wasn’t my idea to go there (I would have started in Europe somewhere) but my husband’s parents are Missionaries there and so that will probably be the only country I frequent outside of the US.

15. I am strangely proud of my Italian heritage. I am more German and Irish, but I’ll be honest, I think Italians are cooler.

16. I used to want to be a lawyer. I have also changed my mind about what I want to be when I grow up about 80,000 times since then, so it’s probably best that I never pursued that.

17. I never went to college, and I doubt now that I’ll ever go since I truly, honestly, have no idea what I would major in. This could change if I have some sort of epiphany.

18. I hate flying (in airplanes I mean), I am convinced that I’m going to die in a plane crash and so I never want to get on one for fear that it’ll be that time that’s “my time”. I’m sure this says something of my lack of faith in God.

19. I’ve known my best friend since pre-school

20. Brad Paisley popped my concert cherry in June of 06 and he was SO good that I went back to see him a month later. He never called after that. I’ll probably see him again though, battered woman syndrome and all……

21. I love to watch Friends. I have seasons 1 and 2 on DVD so far and I’m like a crack addict, I get strung out and I can’t stop. I’ll probably acquire season three very soon…. Update: I now have through season 5 7.

22. I also enjoy watching America’s Next Top Model. I think this has something to do with the fact that I secretly wish I was a model and am living vicariously through each of the girls on that show.

23. Sleeping Beauty is my favorite Disney Movie closely followed by Alice in Wonderland. I love all of the Princesses though.

24. The last time I was in Disney World was when I was 1 - I want to go back though darnit!

25. My dream vacation would be to go to Hawaii. I know it’s cliche but I just can’t help myself.

26. I’ve gone to Hershey Park every year since I was 3 and I never get bored of it.

27. I like driving through sobriety checkpoints because I have this twisted logic that the fact that I’m not plastered gives the police officers on duty some hope that there is still good in the world. Or at least sober people on a Friday/Saturday night.

28. I think renting is the biggest waste of money in the world, and I am currently a renter.

29. I love fashion. I frequently watch the Style Network or E! just to see what the latest trends are. I can never afford to keep up with them, though.

30. I am convinced that I own every color of Old Navy flip-flops. If not, let me know, and I will go buy whatever color I don’t have.

31. I get frustrated with my wardrobe pretty often and use the phrase “I have nothing to wear!” when really all of my drawers are full and my closet is overflowing. I believe this is the truest sign that I am in fact a woman.

32. I believe all types of abortion should be illegal but I don’t think I’ll ever see it happen.

33. I am politically passionate and really think that people who view politics differently than I do have no idea what they’re talking about.

34. I was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis (JRA) at the ripe old age of 18 months but I went into remission at 14 years of age, so see it’s not an old people disease!

35. I still have flare-ups in my joints every now and then and have to choose exercise routines that do not impact them. Oh, and my right elbow is permanently bent.

36. I am a senior high youth group leader at my church and I love it.

37. I had to order my wedding dress in a size 16 while I wear jeans in a size 10. I’m told this is normal. I do wish I wore a size 6 though, so I guess it doesn’t really matter anyway.

38. Since January 06 I’ve lost 20 pounds by eating right and exercising. I really did it for my wedding day (September 2, 2006) but I think I’ll keep it going, gotta wear that size 6!

39. I love the big sunglasses fad and hope it never goes away. (I’m certainly not naive enough to think that it won’t though) I own 2 4 pairs.

40. My biggest fear is that my Husband will be deployed to Iraq. Shamefully, it’s my most consistent prayer request.

41. My 2nd biggest fear is being raped.

42. I love fireworks, there’s just something so magical about them.

43. I am slightly (please see the denial at work here) obsessed with Vera Bradley bags. I probably (again, denial) need therapy.

44. I love big dogs and want a Mastiff when the husband and I get a house.

45. Most people sucked their thumb for comfort, I put my finger in my belly button (and still do….) you think it’s weird? Well, so do I.

46. I love peeling the skin after a good sunburn. I hate be the sunburned one, but sometimes you gotta do whatchu gotta do.

47. Sometimes I will purposely not put sun-tan lotion on my ears so they’ll burn and then I can peel them. Again, weird.

48. My dad is a mailman and I went to “Take Your Daughter to Work” day with him when I was 10. It was exhausting and I had a brand new appreciation for him as a father after that experience.

49. I love American NFL football, there is nothing better.

50. The Pittsburgh Steelers are my favorite team, my favorite player being the retired Jerome “Romie-Rome” Bettis. The nickname in quotations you see is one I gave him, so don’t go calling him that, k?

51. I’m dissapointed in Ben Roethislberger for not wearing his helmet. I still love him though.

52. I love cuddling and I love watching chick-flicks. Doing both at the same time is like heaven on earth.

53. My favorite subject in high school was American History from the time of the Revolution to WWII.

54. I used to argue with my driver’s ed teacher about driving with 2 feet. I said it was ok, he said it wasn’t. I bought a manual vehicle to prove him wrong.

55. I’m a pretty stubborn person.

56. I actually enjoy drinking water. Crazy, I know.

57. I have never actually been drunk despite what my bridesmaids will tell you. I had full control of myself that one time.

58. I tried beer when I was 11, was grossed out by the taste and never did an alcoholic beverage touch my lips again until I turned 21 on 12/19/05.

59. I am constantly told that I’m too young to be married and I disagree with those people.

60. I am a natural blonde. I used to highlight my hair to make it super-bleach-blonde, but recently dyed it a brown/auburny color. I’ll probably go back to highlighting in the spring. Update: I’m blonde again. No surprise there.

61. Because I like to brag about my mom’s super-human powers I’ll tell you this: I was 9 lbs 15 oz. at birth, my brother was 9 lbs 14 oz the twins were 7 lbs 14 oz and 8 lbs 15 oz, and the baby was 10 lbs 3 oz. All of these children were birthed vaginally and naturally. She.is.not.human.

62. I still don’t know how she did it and feel as though I myself have to live up to the standard she set.

63. My brother and sister were the largest twins on record at the hospital the were born in until 6 or 7 years ago.

64. I’m not a big fan of change. I like people, places and things to remain the same because that’s when I’m most comfortable. You can imagine then, how exciting it was for me to move out of my childhood home, get married, and live with someone brand new in the span of 1 and a half years.

65. I love to shop. It doesn’t have to be for me (although I really enjoy that) I just like going out and buying something new that someone will enjoy. It’s sort of like the Vera Bradley addiction thing. Very minor.

66. I believe that witchcraft is evil and that Harry Potter falls into that category. J.K. Rowling is twisting the minds of youth the world over. But you know, it’s cool that kids are finally excited about reading, regardless of the content. Or something.

67. I could watch Mary Poppins for hours and pray that I can get tickets to see it on Broadway.

68. I also enjoy the original Parent Trap. Lindsay Lohan just doesn’t do it the way Hayley Mills does.

69. I have this dream of just picking up and moving somewhere I’ve never been with my husband before we have kids. I’ll probably never do it.

70. I would love to live in a NYC apartment and then live on tons of land somewhere down south. The left and right sides of my brain are 2 completely different people, don’t you think so?

71. I love Mel Gibson. I’m pretty sure that he’s not anti-Semitic and that people should just lay off of him, because no one is perfect. No, not even you.

72. Some of my favorite actors are Tom Hanks, Julia Roberts, Reese Witherspoon, Matthew McConaughey, the aforementioned Mel, and that really adorable guy from Saving Private Ryan. If they’re in it, I’ll probably go see it.

73. I wish I could find a job in which I could work from home. I hear motherhood is hiring.

74. I love photography and constantly try for that one “great shot” that will convince the world that I’m a great photographer. I haven’t taken it yet.

75. I don’t think that “stuff” is important but find that it’s very easy to get caught up in wanting more “stuff”.

76. I am afraid of confrontation.

77. I want people to like me.

78. I hate getting stuck in a “hair rut”, always wearing it the same way. I’m always in that place.

80. I am eternally grateful to my parents for the fabulous job they did with someone not so easy to work with.

81. I want to parent just like they did and find in looking back, that there’s not much I would change about their style.

82. You would never, ever know that my mother has 5 kids. Never. You would also never be able to guess her age. I dare you to try. I pray to God that I inherited that particular gene.

83. I am strangely obsessed with my eyelashes. My goal is to make them longer. Like pretty long, not too fake-looking long.

84. I actually enjoyed watching both seasons of Flava of Love. I am now following up those seasons with a dose of I Love New York. Someone help me.

85. I used to adore Hanson. Like, pictures on my walls, every CD owned, convinced I would marry one of them, adore. I’m not sure how I broke out of that.

86. I love watching the food network. My favorite chefs are Giada DeLaurentis, Paula Dean, and Rachael Ray. I don’t really like many of the meals Rachael prepares, but she’s just so darn entertaining!

87. 100 may as well be 1,000. This is getting difficult.

88. I used to think that red-heads were the nerdiest of nerds. I married a red-head and he’s pretty hot.

89. I believe in sticking to etiquette. However, if I’m not outside the lines of etiquette and something is demanded of me that suggests that I am, I’m not going to enjoy it or the person who suggests it.

90. I used to be a tom-boy and a closet Barbie-enthusiast. I can’t wait to play Barbies with my daughters, should I be blessed with any.

91. I am convinced that I will have all sons. So far, I have three nieces and believe that it would be just my “luck” to be the one who doesn’t get any daughters.

92. Maybe this wouldn’t be such a bad thing as life is pretty expensive for people with daughters. Then again, boys ain’t so cheap either.

93. Childish adults annoy me. I mean really, shouldn’t you have grown out of it by now?

94. I wish I read the Bible more consistently.

95. It is my opinion that sex education in our culture needs a complete re-vamp. Seriously, demolish and re-build, I should not have learned where to put a penis in 5th grade.

96. I don’t think anyone has the right to tell wealthy people what to do with their money. If Bill Gates doesn’t give a portion of his wealth to charities, that’s his prerogative. Also, I don’t think that these Hollywood freak shows have the right to tell the Middle class what to do with theirs. You stay in your back yard, and I’ll stay in mine.

97. I played a major role in the selection of my engagement ring. I don’t care if you have a problem with that because I’m the one who has to wear it for the rest of my life and I fully intend to.

98. I am addicted to Natural Ice chap-stick. I just love the tingle.

99. I’m for Jen, not Angelina.

100. That was the most time consuming activity I’ve ever completed, and I’m a sudoku fanatic, so you know it’s true!

I am your best friend and all, but the belly button thing grosses me out!

That was a lot of fun to read - I can even say a lot of these are just what I think - not the belly button thing though :)

Why hasn’t Mr. Boston *I call him Mr. Booger because he is ALWAYS picking his nose!* been eliminated yet from I Love New York?!
